Helen Ann (nee Swalla) Henderson, age 66, of Bryn Mawr and formerly of Havertown passed away at her home July 18, 2010.
Born May 31, 1944 in Philadelphia to Helen Kowalkowski and Edward Swalla. She grew up in the Manayunk section of Philadelphia and graduated from John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls High School.
On November 8, 1969 she married Philip A. Henderson. They lived most of their married life in Havertown, Pa.
Mrs. Henderson worked in the Men's Store of Strawbridge and Clothier in Suburban Square, Ardmore, Pa. for many years. She also worked for Vanguard as an Administrative Assistant.
She is survived by her husband, Philip A. Henderson, son Daniel E. (Maryann) Henderson, grandsons; Andrew and Aaron Henderson, brothers; Raymond, & Henry Swalla and sister; Elaine Santin.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 AM Thursday July 22 in St. John Neumann Church, Highland Ave, Bryn Mawr where family and friends may call 9:00 to 10:15 AM. Interment will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery, Ardmore, Pa.
